This agreement contains the terms and conditions established by the airlines, hotels, coach companies, and other independent firms used in this brochure, providing you with their services, under which Pharos Travel Agency Inc., (“operator”) in consideration for participant’s payment agrees to provide these travel tours.
Read this agreement carefully before sending any deposit, which then constitutes fell acceptance of all terms set hereunder.
AIR TRANSPORTATION: Some tour packages do not include any airfare. Any IATAN carrier can be used in conjunction with tours offered in this brochure for round-trip transatlantic fares. Reservations and ticketing can be arranged either by Pharos or the participant. Special bulk fares in conjunction with the tours are offered by Pharos under the scheduled departures. Greek domestic inter-island airfare, domestic Turkish connections, or inter-country connections are included in the tours, except where otherwise stated and can be supplied upon request. Charter air transportation can be used and combined with any at the tours in this brochure, provided that Pharos Travel Agency, Inc. will not be responsible and liable for the charters materialization, cancellation or alteration of the dates, having to affect the prepaid and prearranged tours of the participant, with specific reference to flight delays. In the case of all air transportation, whether scheduled or charter, Pharos shall not have liability to the tour participant for any reason whatsoever relating to flight delays, including but not limited to liability for, damages relating to shortened vacation time, inconvenience, or hardship, additional expenses or any other form of damage, nor shall the operator be liable to the tour participant for delays or other inconveniences resulting from strikes, bad weather, terrorism acts, military or political acts or any other act beyond the operator’s control. In the event of a delay, the airline and not Pharos Travel Agency, Inc. will determine the procedure to be followed and the amenities/compensation if any, to be offered. Participant is subject to the ticket terms and tariffs of the airline, which when issued shall be the sole contract between the airline and the participant.
HOTELS: As listed or similar. All rooms are with private facilities (bath or shower). All rooms are based on a run-of-the house type of room, except if otherwise stated. Substitution of similar category may be required at peak periods. There are no triple accommodations available on any multi-day motorcoach tours. All hotel taxes and service charges are included. Pharos Travel Agency, Inc. shall not be liable for any acts, omissions, promises, malfunction of plumbing, air-conditioning or any services, done and given by the hotel owners and their employees to the participant.
DOUBLE AND SINGLE ACCOMMODATIONS: All rates shown are per person based on double occupancy. Single accommodations are normally based on single rooms in hotels and single occupancy cabins while cruising.
CHILDREN’S DISCOUNTS: Only available upon request, when sharing a room with parents. There are no children discounts available on any multi-day motorcoach tours in some destinations.
TRANSFERS: A specified in tour features including meeting and assistance. Transfers done before 07:00 hours and after 21:00 hours are at an additional charge, depending on the destination and are added to the published rate at the time of booking.
MEALS: As specified in tour features: C/B represents continental breakfast included in most hotels. A/B represents American buffet breakfast. H/B represents two meals usually continental breakfast and either lunch or dinner. All meals, except liquor drinks, are provided on the multi-day cruises, except where otherwise stated.
CRUISES: Accommodations are based on inside lower berth cabins all with private facilities. Upgrades can be supplied on request and at additional costs to the participant. Cruise companies reserve the right to substitute and alter itineraries without prior notice and Pharos shall not be liable to the participant for that matter. Mykonos and Santorini port stops will be made weather permitting.
SEQUENCE OF TOUR FEATURES: An effort is made for the sequence of itineraries to remain the same as per description in the tour features. However, a variation or an alteration may occur after an itinerary is printed, which in beyond Pharos’ control and under which Pharos Travel Agency, Inc. will not be liable to the participant for reimbursement, either partially or in whole, neither shall this constitute a reason for cancellation by the participant.
SIGHTSEEING TOURS AND SHORE EXCURSIONS: As specified in the tour features, all provided with modern motorcoaches and guided by professional licensed English speaking guides. All shore excursion tours while cruising are not included in the tour rate and are optional and can be purchased at additional cost upon request. PHAROS shall not be liable for any acts of misrepresentation or omissions regarding the operation of these tours.
TOURS FOR THE HANDICAPPED: Special tours are available upon request.
TAXES-TIPS-PORTERAGE: All local taxes are included, except where otherwise stated. All port taxes have to be paid in advance and not on board. Limited tipping is included. We strongly recommend additional tipping to porterage personnel, guides, waiters, etc. While cruising, your cruise director will advise you of the suggested tipping to be left at the end of the cruise. Limited porterage is included. We strongly suggest that you limit yourself to one piece of luggage and one overnight piece due to limited carrying capacity of interconnecting domestic country planes, mstorcoaches, and transfers. Additional tipping is suggested to all porterage personnel involved.
PASSPORT-VISAS-HEALTH REOUIREMENTS: all participants require a valid passport at all times. All U.S. alien participants should carry their alien registration card. American citizens are not required to obtain a visa for Greece. All other countries have different regulations and participants are required to contact each country’s embassy/consulate to obtain such permit/visa. Visa fees are the participant’s responsibility. Vaccination regulations should be checked by participants from each involved country’s consulate before commencement of trip. Special dietetic or other health requirements/disabilities should be stated before the acceptance of this contract in writing, doe to limited availability. If such requirements not approved by the operator before the commencement of the tour, then this shall not constitute a reason for cancellation and/or reimbursement to the participant. Failure to obtain a valid travel document shall not create a right to cancellation or refund.
CHECK IN PROCEDURE: Failure to check-in two hours prior to departure may result in a denial of boarding and no refund will be granted.
INSURANCE: Baggage and trip cancellation/interruption insurance is strongly suggested for all participants, and is available upon request at an additional cost.
RATES AND VALIDITY: Rates and itinerary are subject to change without prior notice. Rates are based on bulk net-tariff contracts valid at the time of printing of this brochure, which are converted from local currencies to U.S. dollars. The operator is not liable in changing these rates and in order to reflect the fluctuation of the everyday equivalency of the local currencies to the U.S. dollar, at the time of each participants travel period. Equivalency fluctuation of U.S. dollar to foreign currency shall not create a right to refund.
TOUR PRICE: Includes only items listed and stated in Pharos’ current brochure under the “Tour Features”. Airlines, hotels, motorcoach companies, cruise lines, government operated museums and sites do have the right to impose energy surcharges, and participant is responsible for full prepayment to the operator. Operator may increase trip price to the extent of actual cost increase for scheduled flights and or land arrangements and cruises, if any, without participants right of cancellation. Increases may be for any reason including, but not limited to fuel or tariff increases, currency exchange fluctuation or renegotiation for any reason including lack of demand and participation. All passport, visa, vaccinations, meals, tours, other than the ones stated in the “Tour Features”, are not included in the tour price as well as all personal expenses related to additional meals, drinks, spirits, laundry, souvenirs, etc., and participant is solely liable for those.
DEPOSITS-PAYMENTS: A deposit of $400.00 per person or 100% of the tour cost, whichever is higher, is required within a week from reservation date. Full payment is required sixty days before departure. If reservation and payment falls within sixty days from departure date, then a certified or bank check is required to be expressed to PHAROS. If reservation and payment fall with in 30 days from departure date, a certified or bank check is required immediately. All payments have to clear the Agency’s bank before reservation is considered confirmed. If payment is made by credit card, then a credit card authorization form must be completed and signed by cardholder. Fully completed credit card voucher for fall payment must be received by Pharos Travel Agency Inc. to secure reservations. No partial credit card payments are accepted. Participants waive any charge-back rights. In the event of a dispute, requests for a refund mast be made under the procedure described herein, under cancellations-refunds. Any other person or entity, including a travel agent, who received monies from participant (s), does on strictly as an agent for the participant.
DOCUMENTATION: Final documents are mailed within two weeks prior to departure, provided that they are fully paid and a signed agreement is in our possession.
CHANGES: Any change made prior to the commencement of the tour is subject to a $50 per occurrence fee as set accordingly under the cancellation policy. Any change made after passenger has been ticketed and/or travel has commenced, requires the purchase of a new ticket at prices applicable at time of purchase.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: The right to a refund if a participant changes plans is limited. All requests must be in writing and send (return receipt) to Pharos. Refund to the participant (s) will be processed upon receipt of cancellation request.

All requests for refunds must be made through the booking agent and submitted to the operator within 7 days after completion of the tour, otherwise no refund will be made. All appropriate receipts and documents must accompany the refund request. No refund will be made for unused services. Once a tour begins, any changes made by a participant are the responsibility of the participant. The rights and remedies made available herein are in addition to any others available under applicable law. However, Pharos offers refunds under these conditions with the express understanding that encashment of refund by participant) s) constitutes a waiver of any such additional rights and remedies.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION: The sole and exclusive method of resolving any dispute which might arise under these conditions shall be by arbitration before the American Arbitration Association’s in New York City pursuant to the Association’s rules then in effect. A resulting award in arbitration may be enforced in any court of competent jurisdiction.
RESPONSIBILITY: Pharos Travel Agency, Inc. arranges with airlines, hotels, and other independent firms, to provide you with these travel services. Pharos takes great care in choosing its suppliers. However, we do not control them and therefore cannot be responsible for their acts or omissions. The right is reserved, to make any changes with or without notice that might become necessary, as well as to accept or decline any person as a member of any Pharos tour. The acceptance of tickets and/or vouchers shall be deemed to be consent to the above conditions. Airlines and other carriers are not responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their plane or conveyances. The travel services are subject to conditions imposed by the suppliers who may limit their liability by tariffs, contracts and International agreements. We therefore cannot assume responsibility for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expenses arising out of injury, accident or death, damage, loss or delay of baggage or other property, delay, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, loss of pay, upsets, disappointments, distress or frustration whether physical or mental resulting from:
1: The acts of omission of any person or firm other than Pharos Travel Agency, Inc. or its employees;
2: Mechanical breakdowns, governmental actions, strikes, lock-outs, war, weather, acts of god or other factors and courses beyond our control;
3: Acts of vandalism, air/land or sea piracy, burglaries, accident, injuries, assaults or any physical harm to your property/person;
4: Your failure to follow instructions including but not limited to check-in and check-out times and baggage-handling.
5: Your failure to obtain required documentation including passports, visas, health certificates, where required, in which case you will also not be entitled to any refund.
LATE FEE:
A $25 late booking fee will be assessed for all bookings received within 30 days from departure.
