DAY 1 : EN ROUTE – Depart the U.S.A. via overnight jet Flight to Athens, Greece. Dinner and breakfast served on board. (D)

 

DAY 2: ATHENS – Arrival at the Athens airport, where you will be met by Pharos personnel and assisted through customs and baggage claims formalities and escorted to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B)

 

DAY 3: ATHENS – After breakfast at the hotel, depart on a morning Athens city tour, which will introduce you to the most important cultural sites of this glorious city, such as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Constitution Square-Syntagma, the Presidential Palace, the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games revived in modern era, Andrian’s Arch and the Temple of Zeus, the Acropolis, where you visit the Parthenon and the museum, Theseum and the Greek Orthodox Cathedral-Metropolis, the Monastiraki flea market, the Academy, the University and the National Library. Overnight in Athens. (B)

 

DAY 4: ATHENS – NAFPLION – After break-fast, you depart for the four day classical tour of the Greek mainland. Drive by the Saronic Gulf, on to Corinth canal and then on to MYCENAE, to see the Gate of the Lions and the Tomb of King Agamemnon. On to NAFPLION, the original Greek capital. In the afternoon, visit EPIDAURUS and its famous Theatre. Dinner and overnight in Nafplion. (B,D)

 

DAY 5: NAFPLION – OLYMPIA – Drive through the Central Peloponnese, passing the cities of MEGALOPOLIS and TRIPOLIS. Arriving in Olympia, visit the Stadium, where the first Olympics took place, the Temple of Zeus and

see the greatest sculpture of all times, “HERMES”, by Praxitelis. Dinner and overnight in Olympia. (B,D)

 

DAY 6: OLYMPIA – DELPHI – Driving through the plains of llia and Achaiia, on to PATRAS, pass RION-ANTIRION canal by ferry, driving through picturesque NAFPAKTOS, arrive in DELPHI, where you visit the Castalian Springs and the Sanctuary of Athenae Pronea. Dinner and overnight in Delphi. (B,D)

 

DAY 7: DELPHI – ATHENS – In the morning visit the museum and have ample time to stroll through the cobble-stoned streets of the village. Drive back to Athens for overnight. (B)

DAY 8: ATHENS – CRUISING – Morning Free. Early evening transfer to the port to board your cruise ship for the seven day cruise. Sailing in the early evening hours. (B,D)

 

DAY 9: CRUISING – SANTORINI – CRETE – Visit the Greek Island of SANTORINI, site of the legendary sunken Atlantis, and CRETE, site of the Minoan Civilization. (B,L,D)

 

DAY 10: CRUISING – RHODES – Full day on the island of the Knights, site of Colossus of Rhodes. (B,L,D)

 

DAY 11: CRUISING – PATMOS – KUSADASI – Visit the sacred Greek island of PATMOS, where St. John wrote the last Book of the New Testament. Then, on to KUSADASI, Turkey, for an optional visit of EPHESUS. (B,L,D)

 

DAY 12: CRUISING – ISTANBUL – Arrive in ISTANBUL, Turkey, for optional visits of the many archaeological sites of the city. (B,L,D)

 

DAY 13: CRUISING – ISTANBUL – Another exciting day at the city where Byzantium, the Roman and Ottoman Empires left their great signs of civilization. (B,1,D)

 

DAY 14: CRUISING – MYKONOS – Today, visit the famous jet-setter island of MYKONO~, with its picturesque windmills and white-washed houses. (B,L,D)

 

DAY 15: ATHENS – DEPARTURE – Morning arrival at Piraeus port, disembarkation and transfer to the airport for the return flight to New York. (Extensions available. Sequence of the cruise itinerary may change according to the cruise line Involved) (B.L,D)

DAY 12: CRUISING – ASHDOD – JERUSALEM – Another exciting day in Israel, the melting pot of Christianity, Judaism and Islamic heritage, site of the Holy Land (BLD)

 

DAY 13: CRUISING -AT SEA – A fun-filled day, sailing the Mediterranean waters. (B,L,D)
