9 DAYS – 8 NIGHTS DAILY DEPARTURES

DAY 1: EN ROUTE – Depart U.S.A. via overnight jet flight to Istanbul. Dinner and breakfast served on board. (D)

DAY 2: ISTANBUL – Arrive in Istanbul, your Pharos tour host will meet and escort you to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B)

DAY 3: ISTANBUL – In the morning, drive to the old town. Visit the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome where chariot races were held in Roman times and St. Sophia, the Orthodox Cathedral built by Justinian in the sixth century. After lunch, tour the Topkapi Palace museum with its priceless jeweled objects and the Porcelain collection. Overnight in Istanbul. (B,L)

DAY 4: ISTANBUL – After breakfast enjoy a morning cruise along the shores of Bosphorus with views of summer palaces and old Turkish homes and fortresses built by the Ottomans. Stroll along the Asian side of Istanbul and view the city from Camlica Hill, then visit Beylerbeyi Palace. Return to the old city for shopping at the Grand Bazaar. Late afternoon flight to Antalya. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay. (B)

DAY 5: ANTALYA – Day at leisure. Relax, swim, enjoy and stroll around this beautiful seaside town. (B)

DAY 6: ANTALYA – Drive up to the Taurus Mountains, the eagle nest of Termessos. Tour the theatre, the agora, the gymnasium and the necropolis with numerous sarcophagi. Later in Antalya, visit the remarkable Archeological Museum and Andrian’s Gate. In the evening take a stroll around the old harbor and explore the cozy o(d town. (B)

DAY 7: ANTALYA – After breakfast, full day exploration of the ancient Pamphyhian cities: Perge with its colonnaded streets, and stadium. Aspendos, famous for its acoustics theatre. After lunch visit Side, where St. Paul preached the Christian faith. Overnight in Antalya. (B,L)

DAY 8: ANTALYA – ISTANBUL – After breakfast, transFer to the airport for a short flight to Istanbul. Met and transferred to hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B)

DAY 9: ISTANBUL – DEPARTURE – Transfer to the airport for your return flight to New York. (B,L)
